Support you can count on
Recoveree’s business comprises two core elements
We work with solicitors, accountants and insolvency firms to assist in their investigations.
We take assignments of debts and/or failed investments to pursue recovery options if we feel the claim is viable. We do not charge upfront fees for taking an assignment. We distribute the proceeds of successful actions as per the agreed contract terms.
If you are owed a debt or have suffered an investment loss we may be able to help.
Investment Loss? Our Process
Review
We collect and review your information. If we decide to take an assignment there is no upfront payment. We will pursue the recovery actions at our own risk.
Recovery
If the assigned claims are successful and a settlement is reached the proceeds will be distributed between ourselves in accordance with the terms contained in the Deed Of Assignment.
Owed A Debt? Our Process
Verify
We review your debt, how it arose, when it became due, documentation supporting it and whether action has already started. If suitable for assignment we’ll agree terms and start work.
Pursue
Whether the intended targets are directors, shadow directors, legal advisors, accountants, sales agents, banks, financial service providers or others, we will diligently pursue them and keep you updated.
Contact
Once assigned we contact the debtor. We outline the legal steps that will follow if the debt remains unpaid. If no agreement is reached, we proceed with formal legal action.
Legal
If there is no realistic prospect of early settlement, we initiate insolvency proceedings. Throughout the process, we maintain communication with the debtor in an effort to secure payment. If the debtor is insolvent, we liaise with the appointed liquidator to represent your interests.
In their own words
Gareth and Marilyn Hamblin lost £160,000 to an investment scam. The fraudsters were able to carry out the scam due to the failures of a UK Electronic Money Institution (“EMI”) called Moorwand Ltd. An EMI is effectively a small bank. As a result of those failures millions of pounds of investor money was routed through the Moorwand account and stolen.
Gareth and Marilyn came to us to review the evidence and help them understand how the fraud was structured. In February 2024, one of the founders of the investment scam, Jonathan Arafiena, pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to more than five years in prison.
